Print tips
- Print at 100% / "Actual size". Turn off "Fit to page" or "Shrink to fit". Landscape, 3 pages.
- Check the calibration box on page 1: the lines must measure exactly 10 cm and 4 in, and a credit card must fit the dashed box (85.6 × 54 mm). If not, fix the print scale and reprint.
- Phone printing often scales pages. If you can, print from a computer.
- Heavier paper or cardstock lasts longer and stretches less.
- Cut each segment along its outline, keeping the gold glue tabs. Lay the next segment over the tab so its red-arrow edge meets the red line, then tape both sides.
How to measure
Measure snug, not tight: tape flat against skin or a thin base layer, level, no squeezing. Measure twice; if the numbers differ, use the larger.
- Chest: around the fullest part, under the armpits, arms relaxed.
- Waist: around your natural waist or where your riding pants sit, standing relaxed.
- Bust (women's fit): around the fullest part of the bust, tape level all the way round, in the bra you ride in.
- Underbust (optional): snug around the ribcage directly under the bust.
- Natural waist (women's fit): the narrowest part of your torso, usually just above the navel. Bend sideways; the crease is your natural waist.
- Hips / seat: feet together, around the fullest part of your hips and seat.
- Inseam: crotch to the floor along the inside leg, barefoot. A friend helps.
- Thigh: around the fullest part of one thigh, just below the crotch.
- Calf: around the widest part of the calf, standing.
- Knee over brace: wear your knee brace and measure around its widest point, leg straight.
- Bicep: around the fullest part of the upper arm, arm relaxed.
- Sleeve: center of the back of your neck, over the shoulder and down to the wrist bone, arm slightly bent.
- Head: around the head about 1 in / 2.5 cm above the eyebrows, over the widest part at the back.
- Hand: around the palm at the knuckles, excluding the thumb, on your dominant hand.
- Foot: stand on paper, mark heel and longest toe, measure the straight line between (use the tape flat, or a ruler).
